iPad Kiosk

I continue to be very excited about the possibilities for using Apple’s iPads in public spaces for exhibits, interpretation and wayfinding. I’ve written about this in the past, but I thought I’d share a really interesting enclosure designed specially for public environments that recently came to my attention via Tuaw.com.

nClosures is producing an iPad Kiosk Enclosure that’s simple and Apple-like in design. It lends itself to a simple surface mount, making it dead easy to incorporate into existing or new environments.

They seem to have taken care of the details, including robust locking and provision for power cable routing. The mounting system is standard VESA, which will allow it to be used with pretty much any mounting system on the market. Made in the USA.

Looks to be an excellent solution for public access iPads.
